LA jumped out to a lead in each game in this 3 game set only to see the Braves storm back and win, except game # 3, where the Dodgers rallied to avoid the sweep. Phil Niekro gave up 1 run and outdueled Bill Singer in the opener. Cepeda homered in that one. Claude Osteen was nursing a 2 run lead thanks to a Steve Garvey 2 run shot until the floodgates opened in the 7th and the Braves posted 4. Big George Stone went the distance allowing only 2 for the win. Hammerin' Hank went 2 for 4 with a homer to help break it open. LA jumped out to a 3 run lead in the finale only to see ATL roar back and lead 4-3 in the 7th. The dodgers weren't about to get swept and some shoddy Brave fielding helped Pete Mikkelson notch his first win and Jim Brewer came on for the save.
