Tompkins gave up two runs to Philly in the 7th with Montanez, who had homered earlier, driving in the winning run. Rick Wise hit his 3rd homer. Billiy Williams (6) and Don Kessinger (1) homered for the Cubs Phillies 8 Cubs 6

The last game was all Cubs. Ken Holtzman won his 2nd game of the season (2-6) throwing a complete game. Th Cubs bats echoed often and 16 Cubbies crossed the plate.
