NNY win both games over Milwaukee

Game 1 New York 6 Milwaukee 3
Roberto Pena hit a home run off Mel Stottlemyre to tie the game and send it into extra innings. In the 12th inning Danny Carter hit a 3 run homer to win it for the Yankees. Lindy McDowell picks up the win in relief giving him a 2-2 record.

Game 2 New York 4 Milwaukee 1
Bobby Murcer hit his 11th home run of the season in the 4th to give the Yankees a lead they never gave up. Horace Clarke added a 2 run single in the 5th. Fritz Peterson (4-3) goes all the way for the win striking out 11. Marty Pattin pitched well in a losing cause, giving up 5 hits and only 2 of the 4 runs he gave up were earned.
