The Chicago White Sox swept a double header from the Washington Senators
winning 5-3 in the first game and 10-2 in the second.In the first game
Tom Bradley , 4 - 3 /3.02 era , went the distance for the complete game
victory. Heading up the offense was Rich Reichardt 2 for 4 / Jay
Johnstone 2/4 and lite hitting Lee Richard 2 for 2
In Game 2 the Sox jumped on starter Casey Cox, 0-6 / 6.75era, scoring 5
times in the first, mainly on the Grand Slam by Rick Riechardt only his
2nd HR all season. Once again a well pitched game for the White Sox as
starter Bart Johnson, 2-1 2.70era, goes the distance. Many contributed
some offense but Rick Reichardt led the way going 3 for 5 with the grand
slam. Bill Melton also hit his 5th of the year for Chicago.
