LA rallies to take rubber match 7-5

8/25 - Montreal, Quebec - Parc Jary
GAME 3 - LA 7, MON 5

Both starters, Doyle Alexander (5-5, 4.50) and Steve Renko struggled, as both offenses did not. With the score tied at 5 the Dodgers scored 2 runs in the top of the 9th off of Expo reliever Claude Raymond (2-2, 5.44). With 1 out Bill Buckner singled to right and Willie Davis worked out a walk on 5 pitches. Richie Allen singled home Buckner to make it 6-5. Willie Crawford grounded weakly to Ron Fairly at 1st, but it was enough to plate Davis to give LA a 2 run lead. This time Jim Brewer did not disappoint as he set the Expos down in order in the 9th to notch his 20th save of the season as the Dodgers took 2 out of 3 in the series north of the border.
