Vida Blue went the distance and fanned 12 Senators en route to a 4-2 Oakland victory. The most incredible par of this story is that he did not walk a batter. His opposite number, Denny McLain, dropped to 6-5 after being 5-1. Blue boosted his record to double digits (10-4).
