The Milwaukee Brewers, dwelling in the AL West basement, came into Chicago and took 3 out of 4 from the 1st place White Sox.

GAME -1- Milwaukee takes this one 7-2. Jim Slaton (1-6 4.52) wins his 1st game of the season and goes the distance. Joel Horlen (4-4 4.71) gets bombed for the loss. Bill Voss hit his 10th HR for the Brewers

GAME -2- Brewers win this one 7-3. Skip Lockwood (4-8 4.20) gets the win with 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Lew Krausse picks up his 1st save of the year. For the Sox, Tom Bradley (7-9 2.87) was hit hard and often for the loss. Dave May went 3 for 4 and Johnny Briggs went 2 for 4 and hit his 14th HR of the year for the Brew
Crew.

GAME -3- Another Brewer Victory!! This time 5-0. Milwaukee makes it 3 straight wins with Marty Pattin (7-10 3.93) getting the victory pitching 8 scoreless innings. Tommy John (9-7 2.64) pitched well for the Sox but took the loss. Yates and Heise both go 2 for 4 to lead the offense for the Brewers.

GAME -4- Chicago wins 2-0. The White Sox finally win one taking the 2nd game of the double header. Wilber Wood threw 5.2 innings of shut out ball and then a 59 minute rain delay made it necessary to take him out. Bart Johnson (7-2 2.36) swooped in for the win in relief with Steve Kealey getting his 5th save. --submitted by Jack Crownover--
