Game 1 - Detroit wins in 12 5-4
Romo (2-2 3.33) gets the loss and Timmerman (5-0 2.30) the win in extra innings. Jim Northrup led the Tigers hitting 2 HR's giving him 13 on the year

Game 2 - White Sox win 8-2
Joe Horlen (2-2 5.59) goes the distance and gets the win.Mike

Kilkenny (1-6 6.37) gets the loss. Carlos May led the Sox offense going 2 for 5 with 5 RBI's and hit his 2nd HR of the year.

Game 3 - Chicago wins 10-6
Terry "Big Tub of Goo" Forster (3-2 4.81) went 5.1 innings before tiring and picks up the win and Mickey Lolich (13-5 2.30) gets the loss. Lolich was pounded for 6 ER and 10 hits with 2 BB in 7 innings of work. Bill Melton, ( 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's ) and Rick Riechardt ( 3 for 5 with 3 RBI's) led the Sox hitting attack. --submitted by Jack Crownover--
