Yankees take 3 of 4 from Milwaukee

Game 1 New York 3 Milwaukee 2
Roy White hits a 2 run homer in the 1st (his 11th) to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead. With the Yankees up 3-1, Johnny Briggs hits his 16th HR to cut it to 3-2, but that's the way it ended. Mel Stottlemyre (14-4) goes all the way for the Yankee win. Bill Parsons (5-11) took the loss.

Game 2 New York 8 Milwaukee 2
Roy White (12) again hits a 2 run homer in the 1st to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead. The Yankees score 5 in the 3rd to give them a 7-0 lead. Mike Kekich (3-6) goes all the way giving up only 3 hits, but one of them was a Tommy Harper Harper's 2 run 12th homer of the season. Bobby Murcer hit his 22nd of the season. Jim Slaton (2-7) took the loss.

Game 3 Milwaukee 4 New York 3
With the score tied 1-1, in the 6th, Roy White (13) hits a 2 run home run, his 3rd consecutive game, to give the Yankees a 3-1 lead. But home runs in the bottom of the 6th by Johnny Briggs (17) and Paul Ratcliff's first of the season. In the 8th, Johnny Briggs hits his second of the game (18) to give Milwaukee the win. Marty Patton (9-10) gets the win. Stan Bahnsen (10-7) took the loss. Jake Gibbs also homered (3) in the 3rd.

Game 4 New York 12 Milwaukee 5
Roy White again strikes in the 1st, but this time its a 2 run double to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead. Milwaukee strikes back on a Bill Voss (13) 2 run homer in the bottom of the first. The Yankees add a run in the 3rd to make it 3-2, then Ron Hansen (3) hits a 3 run homer to make it 6-2. Ron Hansen also had a RBI single and a 2 run single to give him 6 RBIs on the day. Felipe Alou also added his 6th homer. Jim Harden(1-1) gets the win, Marcelino Lopez (4-7) took the loss.
